Assigning Staff to a Service Order

Assigning Staff to a Service Order

You can assign staff to a service order to accomplish the work that needs to be done with the following methods.

1.  Once the Service Order has been created and Saved, on the DETAILS tab, select ADD STAFF

2.  The Add Staff screen displays skills and licenses on the left and available employees on the right to choose from.  In the example I need a Propane Tech>Gas Tech 1 to inspect the residence first and identify any gas leaks.
So I will select PROPANETECH from the Skills list, and GASTECH1 from the Licenses list to narrow down my employee selection. Note:  Names of Skills and Licenses and Employees will vary based on your unique installation of the product.

3.  Because I know which Branch Location the customer resides in, I will now select the Service Area that correlates to their location

4.  In the example below this narrowed down the list of available techs to 2 employees (Logan Girard and Thomas Boucher.   You can select from this list by checking the box next to the employee you want and press OK to confirm staff selection for the job.

NOTE:  To utilize the Calendar Board to schedule an appointment with the customer, remember the employee that you want to schedule, then X out of the Add Staff screen without making a selection and navigate to this Help Article:  Using the Calendar Board to Schedule an Appointment.

5.  Now go to the DEFAULT STAFF tab to verify staff selection.

6.  From here you can choose CREATE APPOINTMENT at the top of the screen to negotiate an available appointment time with the customer.
